Car leasing in Uzbekistan is set to become more affordable

The ADM Group of Companies, Hyundai Corporation Singapore and the leasing company FINCOM have launched a joint venture. In the first phase, which began on 3 August, the project will receive investment of around $40 million. Over the next five years, the partners intend to build up an investment and leasing portfolio worth up to $100 million. The project will expand the financial options available for car purchases and provide a further boost to the development of the country’s automotive industry.

The partnership, which was signed at the Tashkent International Investment Forum, is set to become one of the largest projects in Uzbekistan’s car leasing market, bringing together international financial expertise, modern leasing solutions and the country’s largest automotive ecosystem.

“Each partner will contribute its own expertise and resources to the project. Hyundai Corporation will provide access to international financial instruments, global expertise and best practices in corporate governance. FINCOM will be responsible for developing leasing products, operational management and the development of customer service. ADM will provide access to Uzbekistan’s largest car dealership network, its manufacturing and distribution facilities, and its extensive customer base,” says FINCOM co-founder Stanislav Kim.

In the first phase of the partnership, the new leasing solutions will be available for Kia vehicles manufactured in Uzbekistan and sold through the ADM dealer network. In the future, the company plans to expand its product range to include other car brands represented by ADM (CHERY, HAVAL, TANK, Changan, Hyundai Truck & Bus). The company also intends to develop transport leasing and introduce financial solutions for the acquisition of specialist equipment, commercial property and for corporate clients.

The parties to the agreement expect that the launch of the joint venture will enable them to offer the market more flexible and convenient financing solutions that meet the growing demand for leasing products.
