ADM Jizzakh and South Korea’s DK&G Co Sign Agreement to Equip CKD Production Facility for Hybrid and Electric Vehicles

ADM Jizzakh and South Korean engineering company DK&G Co have signed an agreement for the supply and installation of industrial equipment for a new CKD production facility for hybrid and electric vehicles. The project will enable the company to expand its range of new energy vehicles (NEVs), introduce advanced manufacturing technologies and create additional opportunities for the development of Uzbekistan’s automotive industry.

Construction of a new production complex is currently underway at the ADM Jizzakh site, where hybrid and electric vehicles under the CHERY, HAVAL and CHANGAN brands are planned to be manufactured. Production will use CKD (completely knocked down) technology, covering the full manufacturing cycle, from body welding and painting to final assembly and quality control of finished vehicles. Total investment in the project will amount to approximately $100 million.

One of the key features of the new complex will be its ability to manufacture vehicles from different brands on a single production line. This will be made possible through the joint engineering efforts of specialists from ADM Jizzakh and DK&G Co. The versatile production line will provide manufacturing flexibility and allow it to be adapted to produce various models of hybrid and electric vehicles.

The selection of DK&G Co as the technology partner builds on the successful cooperation between the two companies. The South Korean company has many years of experience in developing and manufacturing industrial equipment tailored to customers’ specific technical requirements. DK&G Co previously participated in equipping ADM Jizzakh’s existing CKD production facility, where Kia vehicles with internal combustion engines are currently manufactured.

The development of the NEV segment is one of ADM Global’s strategic priorities. The company plans to introduce several new hybrid and electric vehicle models to the Uzbek market while gradually increasing the proportion of locally manufactured components.
