ADM Global and Kia Corporation Sign Memorandum of Understanding

Daniyar Davletiyarov, CEO of ADM Global, and Cho Sang Un, Senior Vice President of Kia Corporation, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) confirming the parties’ intention to develop a long-term and effective partnership in the automotive industry.

The signing took place during the state visit of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Republic of Korea. During the visit, the President met with Cho Sang Un, Senior Vice President of Kia Corporation, and highly praised the company’s contribution to the development of Uzbekistan’s automotive industry.

A key element of the Memorandum signed by ADM Global and Kia Corporation is the localisation of production of the new Kia Seltos (SP3) at ADM Jizzakh. The parties also intend to deepen the localisation of automotive components for Kia vehicles produced in Uzbekistan. This will help increase the share of local production and strengthen the industry’s technological base.

The Memorandum also provides for the exchange of expertise and further development of human capital through professional training programmes for ADM Global employees. Engineers will undergo specialised training at Kia facilities, helping to further improve production and quality standards.

The implementation of the Memorandum will mark another step in the development of Uzbekistan’s automotive industry, the expansion of Kia’s model range and the strengthening of the country’s export capabilities.
